A: Advertisers can onboard themselves either self-serve advertising portal or through API Partner.


Q: How can Advertisers benefit from agencies?

A: Advertisers who prefer not to handle campaign management themselves can engage Agencies to create and manage their campaigns. Agencies offer a white-glove service, handling all aspects of campaign management on behalf of the advertiser for a fee.


Q: What role do API Partners play in advertising?

A: API Partners serve as third-party companies that offer support to advertisers in managing their advertising capabilities. They are instrumental in providing advertisers with the tools and expertise needed to optimize their advertising strategies on our platform.


Q: Can one supplier have multiple advertisers?

A: Yes, suppliers can have multiple advertisers. They may have multiple self-serve accounts for different brands. Each brand may have separate users, aiding in categorizing ad spend usage for billing purposes.


Q: When using the API, do advertisers specify the brand they are advertising for?

A: No, In the case of self-serve accounts, each brand has a separate account. For API usage, advertisers will have different accounts for each brand, allowing for separate management and tracking.


Q: How can a supplier onboard users for multiple brands?

A: For self-serve accounts, the supplier can submit an onboarding form with the users' details, designating one user as an admin who can grant access levels (read-only/write/admin) to other users. In the case of API usage, only the API partner can provide access based on advertiser feedback, with read-only access typically granted to all listed users.


Q: Can self-serve users utilize the API to create campaigns?

A: No, self-serve users can only create campaigns through the UI (User Interface). API usage is recommended for users who require more advanced functionalities.


Q: Can an advertiser have both self-serve and API accounts?
A: Yes, advertisers can have all three types of accounts (self-serve, API, and managed serve) if needed, especially if they require separate accounts for different brands. Billing will be separate for each account.


Q: What is the difference between billing contact and supplier contact?

A: The billing contact refers to the entity responsible for payment, which can be either the supplier directly (Bill to contact) or an agency acting on behalf of the advertiser (Bill to agency). The supplier contact information is relevant for billing purposes.


Q: Who can manage video campaigns, advertisers, or partners? Will they have the same admin role?

A: Video campaign management depends on the platform. In the UI portal, users with admin or write access can handle it. API partners are responsible for creating video campaigns through API.


Q: How is a brand added after onboarding?

A: Adding a brand post-onboarding is manually facilitated by MAP team, as brands serve as a connection between advertisers and Sams Club.


Q: How can I change my email address after onboarding?

A: Email address changes post-onboarding must be requested through the sales team or MAP team, as the email is stored in both Salesforce and the SPA platform, and users cannot modify it themselves.
